Diary Of A Wimpy Kid The Ugly Truth – By Olivia
The ‘blurb’ made me chose this book because it’s no ordinary blurb, it shows part of the story and describes a lot.
I think it is set in a neighbourhood and he is mostly in school. I think that because, the scene never really changes.
Greg (Wimpy Kid) is the main character. Then there’s some other people included quite a lot (Mum, Dad, Rodrick ( Older Brother) Manny (Younger brother) and Rowley(Best Friend Or Ex-Friend…well, sometimes!)
My Favourite part was where his school had a sleep-over party and everything went wrong because, everyone brought there phone/electronics and snacks. So the teachers took them away. Then, the teachers suggested that they should play a game and the game was “what part of the body”. Greg and his team took a photo of one of his team mates elbow, but bent! Then when they showed the teacher, he thought it was a picture of a butt! So Greg and the rest ran!
It was quite easy for me to read.
I would defiantly recommend the book to a friend and now, my friends are obsessed with Diary Of A Wimpy Kid, especially my brother!
I do look for books that are written by the same author and I have read all of them!
I give this book a 5 star rating because, its just so exiting and addictive. Also, it makes me think if the author had experienced something like Greg in the book! Maybe, she based some of the book on her/his childhood!
Gangsta Granny -By Izzy
What made me choose this book was the author , David Walliams he is a funny author who always has funny and creative interesting books that are fun for children. I watched the film and it was really good so I thought that it would be good and fun to read.
The story is set in 3 different places, one being Bens house, one being his nans house who BTW: who smells like mouldy cabbages and the other one is the crown jewels in London.
The main characters are Ben, Nan, Dad, Mum and the policeman. All of the characters are lovely exeppt from the policeman who tries to stop ben and his nan from stealing the crown jewels.
My favourite part of the story is when ben describes how many Strictly Stars dancing antiques his Mum and Dad have collected that are mostly real or not real. Another part of the story that I find good is when ben finds out what happened to his granny when she was poor and needed some things to make her rich or at least have some money.
I would recommend this book to a friend because it is really funny and a good book to read when your bored, and when you need a good book to read. The book was really easy to read because everything made sense I have read every book by David Walliams it is amazing.

Wonder. R.j palacio is the author of Wonder the spectacular book about a deformed boy, who starts at beacher prep school. If you think of a ugly face it will probably be 10 x worse. The cover susurrates and draws you in to read the amazing book. Auggie gradually makes friends and starts to fit in. His best friend Jack Will is losing his popularity because he is hanging out with Auggie. His sister is just starting high school and is having some downs.

Grandpas great escape is a wonderful truck load of laughter and happiness to make your day the BEST DAY EVER!!!!!!!!!.This book is written by the great judge and author DAVID WALLIAMS!!.It’s a mysterious story when a crazy grandpa starts flying old spitfires or climbs church spires which are at least 900 years and could break any second now.
A helpless boy called Charlie wants to keep his crazy grandpa but looses him to an evil care home called Towers. It’s like the last place I would want to be.

I picked this book because it is full of humour and makes you cry with laughter .
It is such a funny and enjoyable book to read and it just draws you to the book . This is a dariy by a young boy named Greg Hefley
Greg’s life is a bit annoying for him because his mum expects him to be smart and not all upset and sleep all the time. His older bro is so mean to poor Greg and he makes Greg sad .5 star rating !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tom Gates- SUPER GOOD SKILLS
Tom gates is a funny , adventurous and crazy book it is filled with excitement the moral of this story is : sometimes what you expect isn’t always the same. Tom is the main character he loves: art, rock n roll, annoying is sister. But he is a nice, creative, kind of dumb and he hates homework.
I have enjoyed all these books and I can not wait for there to be a new one. Liz Pichon is the author and illustrator of this book I will recommend this for people who like funny and cool books. I will give this a 5/5 I really enjoy her art and books.this book as loads of crazy things happening loads of people like these snappy books and I think you’ll like it to so what are you doing here reading this get of your chair and read Tom Gates!

The Diary of the wimpy kid ( Old school) by Bradley
I chose this book because it has a funky front cover .
The story is set all over the place like at : home , school , the park and the shops .
Greg: is one of the main characters and he is quite relaxed
mom : she is over protected over Greg .
Roley : he is Gregs best friend, he is funny and calm about stuff.
I think the story is to easy to read. Because it has pictures on every single page.
I think I would recommend this to a friend.
I will read more of these books from the same author I rate this book five stars .

The reason I chose the book is because it is funny and its about a girl my age. The book is by Emma Barns. The cover is a girl watching her sister on a rope swinging. The blurb is she is a tree swinging ,worm digging ,monster and now she is going camping. The story is set on a campsite and her home.
The main characters are two sisters called Kate and Josephine. The part I enjoyed the most was when Josephine dropped her violin case on her dads feet and she worried more about braking the case than her dads foot!. The book would good for girls my age. I would recommend this book to a friend because it is funny. I would read more books by this author. I would give this book a star rating of 5 STARS!!!!!( excellent).

The book Excellent Excuses And Other Good Stuff, is a book by L.Pichon.It’s a comedy kids book that children of all ages will enjoy, and they are bound to laugh! All the characters are well described and there are lots of different stories inside to read.
The main character is called Tom. Tom is a 13 year old boy, who’s life is hectic! He has lot’s of friends and a crazy teacher called Mr Fullerman and a very eventful life. He also has an annoying sister called Delia. Delia hates Tom so much! Every single day she makes mean comments about him. She also has a dodgy boyfriend called Ed who always holds Delia’s hand. UUGGHH!
Tom has a best friend called Derek. They are in a band together called Dogzombies. They are also massive superfans of the band Dude3. Tom also has an arch enemy called Marcus Meldrew! He always cheats and lies infront of Tom. ALWAYS!
The book is funny, I would recommend to all ages. I would give it a five out of five star rating. You are definitely going to laugh!

I rate this book four stars because it is an amazing book but I don’t really like some of the poems inside of the book – but some people may like the poems from there point of view.
This book is about poems of all different subjects , also the book is not just ordinary book because it has raps ,songs, speeches and all different kinds of things. I think this book is excellent because it has really funny poems : such as a little girl who was three years old pick up a spider , then she showed her mom and she screamed ; ever since that happened the little girl was petrified of spiders like they were a horror. The main characters of this book is a class and staff like teachers, cleaners and dinner ladies.My favourite poems are speeches and ones when the school inspector comes in to school.

The book I chose is the story of friendship, faith and protection it is about a wolf cub. The front cover is a picture of a small Border collie ,[so cute am I right] because the wolf has special magic that makes him change the way he looks so he turned into a cute tiny Border Collie, also he has midnight blue eyes.
The blurb says it is about a young girl [Beth Hollis] who unexpectedly found Storm [the wolf] when Storm and came onto the farm her idea of a worst 2 week at her aunties farm.
As you may have guessed it is set on a farm, Beth’s parent are away at Orlando and Beth is stuck with her devastating cousin Martin
The author is Sue Bentley she is an amazing author
The Boy In The Dress – By Tamara
What I have learnt from the book is that you should never pretend to be somebody your not, because people might not like you as they don’t know who you really are.
The characters I disliked the most was Lisa and John. Lisa because I think on the inside she is a real troublemaker, and John because he is jealous of Dennis’ bond with girls. I think the character I’m mostly like is Dennis because he is just a calm and laid back person like me.
The book made me think of different values, some good, some bad. I thought of jealousy, love, hate, embarrassment, sadness and loneliness.
I did like the story and I think it tells people how to be and how not to be. I rate this book a 5/5 stars . I also think its an eye catching story that children aged 6-12 would love.

Throughout the course of the book, I think the main characters thoughts and feeling get stronger and are described more.
I would not like to be in this situation because I wouldn’t like to be humiliated in front of the whole school like that; not being able to see my mum and pictures (which were the only things left of her) been burnt by my dad would break my heart.

How did you feel about this book :I thought it was sad at first but happy in the end and I loved it because it had a lot of feeling .What did you like about this book :I liked the fact there was a cat following him that’s why I picked it up. What did you not like about this book :I did think it went on a bit at the end it is quite a thick book though . what was your favourite part : My favourite part was when the cat followed the man round everywhere and then they became best friends.What’s the cat like :The cat is ginger and he was a stray who found a new owner he is very sweet and cuddly with green crystal eyes like snakes .
Was this a comedy or sad : I think its sad and funny in different bits . Would you recommend this book : yes I would I have told my friends and they think its very cute and great for me .What was your overall thought on this book: I thought it was cute and sweet I would defiantly read it again I would like two see how he’s getting on in life maybe there will be another I have heard they have a film of this now I think ill go and see that .

Awful Auntie – by Elliotte
I chose this book because it looked really funny and when I read the blurb I really liked it.
This book is about a little girl called Stella and her awful auntie who is really mean to her and burns all her parents pitchers when she was in a coma because she was in a car crash with her parents but her parents didn’t make it.
My favourite part was when the auntie was telling the stories but they had a funny twist.
EG: The little mermaid she drowns the end.
I would recommend this book to a friend because it is really funny and I think the will enjoy it a lot.
This book is easy to read but there was a few hard words.
I give this book a 4 out of 5 stars because it is not the best book but at the same time it is really good!
